The goodbye I’m talking about isn’t one where you’ll be seeing someone again soon. This kind of goodbye means you may never hear from that person again. I’m not very good at those kinds of farewells.  For one, it’s usually a sad experience.  Plus, I’m concerned my words won’t accurately convey how I feel.  But here I am in that spot, having to say goodbye to those of you who have been faithful readers of the Zip Line, of which this is the final one.
For the last 10 and a half years, this little missive has been sent your way on almost every Thursday.  Being offered the opportunity to share thoughts with you about our living God has been a great honor and privilege. It’s been a blessing to know you actually read them and in some cases, even took the words to heart.  As you might imagine the words didn’t always come easily. There were times when Thursday would come and I had no idea what to write.  But our gracious God would always give me a little something to ponder and somehow turn it into a thought of 500 words or less.  Quite frankly, the resulting writing was often directed at me just as much as it was to you.  Overall though, my hope is the Lord used the words to encourage or even challenge you to trust Him more, love Him more and walk more closely with Him.
So, in parting let me encourage you to keep up an active pursuit of our Savior. Be a faithful man of God. Don’t lose heart. No matter how you may feel at times, know that your pursuit of Him will not be in vain. The more you seek Him the more He’s revealed.
"… and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul." (Deut. 4:29)
Thank you.
Goodbye and Godspeed,
