Cedar Mill Bible Church is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced Bookkeeping & Accounts Receivable Administrator. This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting ministry through sound financial stewardship. This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable, maintaining accurate financial records, and overseeing the weekly counting of offerings. The ideal candidate has prior bookkeeping experience—preferably in a church or nonprofit setting—and is comfortable working with a team of volunteers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accounts Receivable
- Maintain accurate and timely accounts receivable records.
- Oversee and support the weekly volunteer money-counting team.
- Ensure proper documentation and secure handling of all income funds.
- Support donor relations by ensuring prompt acknowledgments, accurate giving statements, and clear communication regarding contributions.
- Maintain up-to-date donor records and assist in identifying opportunities to strengthen donor engagement.
• Bookkeeping
- Record, monitor, and categorize all income and expenses.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial platforms regularly.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director on reconciliations, budget tracking, and monthly summaries.
- Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for audits and tax reporting.
- Review and match receipts to transactions, ensuring proper expense coding.
- Assist with fiscal year transitions, including rolling over budget data and verifying carryover balances.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Regularly attend Cedar Mill Bible Church.
• Understanding of accounting principles and financial best practices.
• Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in all financial matters.
• Proficiency in financial software (Aplos and Church Community Builder is a plus).
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.• Ability to maintain accurate and organized records for audits and annual reviews.
• Proven experience in bookkeeping and finances, ideally within a church or nonprofit.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION:
• Part-time, in-office, approximately 15 hours per week (schedule to be discussed).
• Compensation based on experience.
